Amsterdam Leopard Moment

Claudia Di Capua

It has definitely been a minute since I last posted, but I wanted to hop back on here and share one of my favorite looks from my last trip to Holland! I recently locked down a lot of these pieces and will continue to share different ways of styling them.

Let’s start with the leopard print bottoms. I’ve had my eye on these Reformation beauties since the the summer of 2018, but of course they were always sold out! I finally snagged a pair about a month ago and I loved them so much that I bought the red cobra version as well! The ultra high waist and fit to small flare high ankle gives of a 60s vibe, which I love. I love combining these pants with either a super fitted top or super loose top. In this case I went with a sheer, black and fitted turtleneck from Aritzia-my favorite everyday turtleneck to date! It’s soft and the perfect amount of sheer. The pants come high enough up on the waist to add that slimming silhouette when paired with a fitted top.

To finish off this look, I went for edgier details and accessories. Starting with the leather jacket with faux fur collar. The fur makes the jacket little winterier and keeps me warmer. Got this jacket for such a steal on Mango! My Laval fanny pack is truly the Mary Poppins bag. I can fit so much inside without it being overwhelming. I wear it like a crossbody for that added street style look. Putting this look slightly over the top in a good way are my favorite leather boots by Alexander Wang. I got them last Fall and have never looked back! They have such a cool look while also remaining functional. Hard to find, especially with designer shoes! The soles are vibram, which are great for outdoor and more rugged use.

Summer Weekend in Anthro & Current/Elliott

Claudia Di Capua

Top: Anthropologie (Similar here & below) / Jeans: Current/Elliott via HautelookJacket: BagatelleEarrings: & Other Stories Sneakers: Steve Madden (Similar here) / Bag: Diane von Furstenberg Sunglasses: Ray Ban

The Look

This warm weather has been the sole inspiration for looks on the perfect weekends we have been having here in NY! Flowy ruffles are the best in light, breezy weather and add a romantic and delicate feel to things like a rugged boyfriend jean. I found this Anthropologie top last spring, but luckily they have come out with a few new versions along with a few other vendors (shop them above)! Ruffles are one of those styles that did not die last summer and will for sure be around this season.

I paired this easy going top with a new pair of Current/Elliot jeans that I found on Hautelook. If you don't already shop on Hautelook, you NEED to! Originally priced at around $275, I snagged these babies for about $80 on sale, and now they've gone down even more to just over $50! Get your hands on them while you can, people! They are made of such high quality denim and I love this style of boyfriend jeans. The top is a bit more fitted from the waist to just above the knee where it falls into a structured, yet looser fit. The tears are just enough for my liking and the overall fit is super comfortable! I can't say enough good things about Current/Elliott denim and Hautelook. They will both have my business for a long time!

This shoot was a bit impromptu as Marijn & I were just walking around the city with Milo (my dog), but those are the best and easiest kind, right!? I accessorized with a cute DVF mini crossbody bag that doubles as a clutch and added my favorite silver hoops from & Other Stories and sunnies from Ray-Ban.

Dressing Up By Dressing Down With PJ Inspired Pants

Claudia Di Capua

Outfit information and tips are located at the bottom of this post!

Top: Aritzia (similar here and here) / Blazer: MadewellPants: J. CrewShoes: Kenneth Cole

Pulling off PJ pants in an everyday look is as easy as it sounds (PJ inspired, at least). These J.Crew pants dress up the look as much as they dress it down. They have the perfect balance of casual and put together. I love the wide leg and white piping detail that gives these bottoms the real PJ aesthetic!

To keep the PJ casual, put-together look going, I made sure to slap on a great blazer from Madewell. This blazer is perfect for so many different things! The material and shape make it so versatile. I’ve worn it with both jeans and in professional settings. Bringing this look back down to earth, sneakers were my next move along with a knit tank for under the blazer. I have so many lace up shoes, so when the opportunity occurred to get a pair of velcro sneakers, I jumped on it. They take me back to my youth in the most trendy of ways.

Forcing dressy to meet casual is one of my favorite things to do! While these pants were likely meant to be more of a business outfit item, manipulating pieces with a street style state of mind will help you get more out of the items in your closet!
