The Look

Striving for #Bosslady status is something we all strive for, but making sure we combine business attire with up-to-date style is a whole other ball game. I’m happy to be participating in National Best Friends Day with Privè Suits! This post is in honor of you doing with you with your bestie by your side all while rocking a chic piece of business attire. Of course, I had to add my own spin to the blazer by finding one with cutout shoulders! Also, you may have noticed that I don’t have my bestie photographed with me for several reasons. One being I have a group of close friends, so I obvi can’t only choose one! Two, I’m in Holland right now, so it would be difficult to get any of them overseas. And three, the man behind the camera (aka bff and baè) is busy taking these pictures! But do know that I would have loved to have my girls and guy in these photos as well. Anyhow, let’s talk clothes! I’m obsessed with this long single breasted blazer from Zara. I had been eyeing it for a while, but luckily caught it in the midst of a life changing storewide sale. A piece of clothing with great details like these shoulders calls for simple backdrop pieces, so I paired the blazer with a plain razor back tank, high-waisted grey Madewell jeans, an awesome pair of Public Desire lace-up heels and a structured handbag. I hope you noticed the little red poof! To differentiate my lace-ups from the millions of others, I tried lacing them around the ankles of my jeans to add some contrast and uniqueness. I love the dressy and layered look it provides. As per usual, I stuck with my silver go to jewelry pieces.
