Outfit information and tips are located at the bottom of this post!
I decided to style this coat in a more casual way because most of the time, we see it dressed up. I wanted to take a more street style approach to this look with a hint of menswear inspiration. The original way I styled the coat is ideal for a work day, but what about your off-duty days? That's where my favorite levi's and a pair of slide-ons come in. To be honest, the turtleneck from the last post could have been part of this look as well, but I decided to change it up with an equally comfy J.Crew pullover. The accessories can remain the same, it's the larger pieces of the look that need to be switched out to get that casual look we're going for. Mixing more up scale accessories with an otherwise basic outfit helps to amp up your look! I love this coat because of the many different outfits that can be created with it. Although I'm a huge fan of distressed jeans, I have found myself drawn to clean slits, especially in colder weather. It gives the denim a raw look because of the exposed hem at the ankles and slit at the knee. This coat is asking for layers, so throw on your sweaters and scarfs! Slide-ons are always a go-to and a sure trade when transitioning a dressy look to a more casual look. Think model off duty.
