Have somewhere to go? Possibly on February 14th, aka Valentines Day?! It's time to start thinking about your date night outfits, which brings me to this look. I couldn't think of a better way to dress up using pieces inspired by leisurewear! I found these velvet joggers at Aritzia as I was leaving the store. #BLESSED am I right?! They are so comfy and flattering. These joggers are dressy in an effortless way and are a great option for a date night. I linked the pair that I wore as well as another pair above. Next, let's talk lace. I love that this top from express is so detailed and looks very delicate. The lace bra complements the style and texture of the top. I paired it with my favorite Hunkermoller lace bra that I came across while in Holland, but you can also rock this top with a thin came instead. This is a great option in a more casual setting. You can dress this top up like I did, or down by changing your bottoms. You can never go wrong with a leather jacket! Obviously, I had to edge this look up a bit. I've never met a better pair than leather and lace and I'm very particular about the lace that I wear. Overall, there is a nice flow in this look featuring different textures, but all brought together by color and purpose. Another great aspect of this look is that all of it's pieces can be taken apart to create a different more casual or more dressy look. I hope this gets everyone thinking about their V-Day looks!
P.S. Everyone should get these shoes! They are so comfortable at an amazing price!
If I was To Do It Differently:
I would make the look more casual by adding a simple blouse or light sweater depending on the weather. Sneakers are obviously a must!
