Babes Against Bullsh*t Jacket + Wrap Skirt

Claudia Di Capua

T-Shirt: J. CrewJacket: Understated Leather via RevolveSkirt: Topshop (very similar here) / Boots: Public DesireSunglasses: Ray-Ban

The Look

It’s the start of a new week, so I thought a slightly motivational post would be fitting. With all of the recent women’s initiatives that have taken the world, but especially the U.S. by storm, it only seemed appropriate to show my support using my mode of creativity —clothing. I wanted this ‘Babes Against Bullshit’ Understated Leather denim jacket last summer, but it wasn’t until a few months ago that I found it on sale! I was so happy to have snagged it. QUICK TIP: if you love something, but aren’t ready to pay the price, remove it from your cart and add it to your (what is this called). This has worked well for me on sites like Revolve because this section lives right below your cart, so you can always see when they have adjusted an item to a lower price!

I’m obsessed with cool patchwork and love how the ‘Babes Against Bullshit’ has a slightly western feel to it. The light wash and cropped, raw edge denim makes this jacket a perfect piece for summer! I linked this jacket along with another similar version above!

This asymmetric wrap skirt has been so useful in the almost two years that I’ve had it. It transitions so well from day to night and has a super cool balanced, but off-balanced look. The check print is super on trend and the belt adds some visual depth and interest. For a warm spring day, a simple t-shirt is all you need. It’s fits so comfortably underneath a denim jacket!

I paired this look with my white stiletto Public Desire boots (which are weirdly hard to come by in this style anymore), rounding off the subtle space cowgirl look I had going. While I could have gone with jeans, it was too perfect of an opportunity to wear this skirt. Always test out all of your theories! I’ll save the denim on denim for another day!

Summer Weekend in Anthro & Current/Elliott

Claudia Di Capua

Top: Anthropologie (Similar here & below) / Jeans: Current/Elliott via HautelookJacket: BagatelleEarrings: & Other Stories Sneakers: Steve Madden (Similar here) / Bag: Diane von Furstenberg Sunglasses: Ray Ban

The Look

This warm weather has been the sole inspiration for looks on the perfect weekends we have been having here in NY! Flowy ruffles are the best in light, breezy weather and add a romantic and delicate feel to things like a rugged boyfriend jean. I found this Anthropologie top last spring, but luckily they have come out with a few new versions along with a few other vendors (shop them above)! Ruffles are one of those styles that did not die last summer and will for sure be around this season.

I paired this easy going top with a new pair of Current/Elliot jeans that I found on Hautelook. If you don't already shop on Hautelook, you NEED to! Originally priced at around $275, I snagged these babies for about $80 on sale, and now they've gone down even more to just over $50! Get your hands on them while you can, people! They are made of such high quality denim and I love this style of boyfriend jeans. The top is a bit more fitted from the waist to just above the knee where it falls into a structured, yet looser fit. The tears are just enough for my liking and the overall fit is super comfortable! I can't say enough good things about Current/Elliott denim and Hautelook. They will both have my business for a long time!

This shoot was a bit impromptu as Marijn & I were just walking around the city with Milo (my dog), but those are the best and easiest kind, right!? I accessorized with a cute DVF mini crossbody bag that doubles as a clutch and added my favorite silver hoops from & Other Stories and sunnies from Ray-Ban.

Stars, Denim & Ally Denovo

Claudia Di Capua

Top: AnthroplogieJacket: BagatelleJeans: Free PeopleSneakers: Stan Smith for Adidas Bag: Express (similar here) / Sunglasses: DiorNecklaces: H&MWatch: Ally Denovo

The Look

This look was one of my favorites to post not only because it is super comfy, but also because I love how each of these pieces fell together. My obsession with stars had its day in the sun as the metallic star appliqués embellish an otherwise classic denim jacket. This jacket is lightweight and visually interesting, which I love for spring! I’m not quite ready to give up my layers yet, so a jacket like this one helps me to put together light layers and stay seasonally saavy.

Both the t-shirt and jeans are newly purchased and made all the difference in this look! While this Anthropologie t-shirt is made of higher quality as well, the ruffle detail on the hems and the back of the t-shirt make it so feminine and give it a lot of movement. All of the subtle details bring new life to such a basic closet staple, the t-shirt. I purposely got the top in a larger size than I would normally wear because I liked how the length fit on me and the oversized look made it more effortless in my opinion.

Keeping this look in mind as I was shopping, I knew these Free People jeans were the perfect pair to complete this spring look. I had been on the hunt for a pair of black/charcoal colored jeans with a distressed look. Coming across these had to be partly luck! I love the stretch that they have and how the knees are cut out. I highly recommend these! They are super skinny and fall right at the ankle. Of course, I incorporated some of my favorite jewelry, silver chokers, as well as a new addition; my Ally Denovo marble Watch. Find out more about it below!

Ally Denovo: Carrara Marble Watch

Another exciting thing about this post is that it is in collaboration with Ally Denovo! These are a watch brand from Switzerland that makes super modern and cool design to complement all of your looks. Check out my last post where I explain more about their background here!

It's no secret that I love marble and silver, so the fact that I could easily find a bunch of options incorporating this color and design made choosing which timepiece I liked best really difficult! There are so many awesome options in different colors, sizes and metals.

The marble is super on trend and the silver and black are timeless. I can incorporate this watch into any look and it's fashion forward appearance gives me the ability to wear it with other jewelry and not have it be overwhelming.

I highly recommend this brand! They have great, lightweight watches that can only enhance your accessories game! Side note: the packaging is super cute too!
