Oversized Cardigan + Cargo Joggers

Claudia Di Capua

Aritzia Cardigan // Aritzia Joggers // Shop other items below

The Look

I have always been into the oversized look, especially when it comes to chunky knits and sweaters. These items can come at a steep price at Aritzia, but luckily, I snagged them during a sale (sweater is still on sale for even less)! It's truly one of the coziest things I own. It creates a contrast to the seemingly dressier top and bottoms paired with the lace-up heels. Mixing and matching dressy and non-dressy items is one of my favorite styling tactics. I added some texture and accessories like the McQueen scarf and black tote bag to give the look more depth. I see myself wearing the cardigan in the house with sweatpants and out to a nice dinner, possibly in this exact look!

Another sneaky sale I found was on the black cami by CAMI NYC. I've wanted one for a long time because of the silky look and quality material. I would wear this with jeans, joggers, shorts, skirts, you name it! It's one of those basics that you have forever. Definitely check out their other camis as well! They have ones with really pretty lace and lace-up detailing.

At this point, joggers a re a must have for everyone! Wearing them with heels is just as easy as wearing them with sneakers and they look great both ways; it all depends on the occasion. I could have easily worn this exact look with sneakers instead of heels if was running around. These types of versatile looks are the most useful to have in your closet. A quick shoe change and you get a totally different vibe! I love these joggers so much, I bought them in two colors, black and an army/olive green. They have the cargo vibe going, which I love because the material isn't thick and bulky. The material is breathable and lays pretty close to your body.

The Look

Joggers and heels are the perfect way to get dressed up while still feeling comfy. I found this lavender grayish pair at Aritzia and fell in love immediately! Despite there usual priciness, Aritzia is a great stop for quality minimal pieces that make for great street style and work looks. Their array of neutral and light/airy colors and fabrics make finding something I love almost inevitable. The waistband and ankle bands are super soft. I can't begin to tell you how happy I was to find that these pants have pockets! If you haven't gotten the picture yet, I love these joggers to the moon and back for their comfort and sleek look. I paired it with a boxy whit denim top from Urban Outfitters. I've had this shirt for about a year, so I linked a similar one above! I love a nice frayed edge (take a look at the arm holes) and interesting details. The back has a snap closure that creates an asymmetrical line and allows for a slight opening, leaving the lower back exposed. The fact that there is a very small opening helps to keep this top appropriate for more occasions. The high neck in the front also contributes to this. I chose to accessorize with black and gold items to add a contrast to the look as well as dress it up. The heels are simple and matches the vibe of the look and the gold jewelry complements the gold strap of the bag.

Other Ways To Style

I would make the look more casual by wearing white sneakers, a summer favorite of mine! See my latest post on a roundup of my favorite white sneakers here.

The Look

I won't lie, finding something I absolutely love in Urban Outfitters is sometimes a struggle, but the last time I went there, it seemed like there was nothing I didn't want. Anyhow, this flare sleeved lightweight hoodie sweatshirt swept up my attention! Truly, my mind was racing with all of the different outfit ideas that were coming to mind all based around this one sweater. Right then and there, I knew it had to be mine! I've worn this outfit a few different ways, one being with a pair of Stan Smiths and a tote bag. I love how comfy this look is no matter what type of shoes you have on. The sweater is super flowy and lightweight, which is great for this time of year. Another amazing Urban Outfitters find was this gold skinny choker. It looks so great on and works very well when layered. It is simple and understated, so I know I will use it a lot (I ended up getting 2)! The Asos joggers have saved my outfit a few times! They look tailored and are easily dressed up or down. The greatest thing about these pants is that they can be worn almost all year long. They are getting a lot of use and ave held up beautifully! Although I love finding new products, I am definitely a loyalist to my accessories. I like to find accessories that I can wear over again with many different outfits. This blog has taught me how to buy for the long term!

If I Was To Do It Differently:

If I were to change it up, I would add the matching pants to the sweatshirt as well as the Adidas I mentioned above.
