Outfit information and tips are located at the bottom of this post!
You had to see this coming. These jeans are hit or a miss with most people, but I definitely fell in love when I first tried them on! I thought that they would make my legs look bigger and have less shape, but they actually do the opposite, They are high-waisted and are form fitting up until the upper thigh. This helps to give your hips and waist a shape. My favorite part about the jeans is how they hang. They have clean straight lines and the hem makes a pretty cylinder shape around your calf. The fit to flare accentuates and elongates the leg, especially when worn with heels. I am absolutely a supporter of the bringing back of an old trend that may or may not be a cousin of the gaucho! I wanted to let these jeans speak for themselves, so I opted for a very basic thin strap top. Both from Madewell! It is so comfy and it brings an effortless look to the outfit, which is one of my summer outfit goals (see the last post for more on summer outfit goals). The neckline is so flattering and isn't too low or too high. Plus, it has my favorite v-neck shape. As I mentioned earlier, heels are the way to go with a pant like this. I paired them with a simple J.Crew pointed pump, which has such a timeless look to them. These are the best type of heel because you can wear them for years (keep them in good shape, though)! To stay consistent with the throwback theme I have going, I threw in a pair of 60's inspired gogo sunnies by The Row to give that final touch. Need I say more about the leather jacket?
If I Was To Do It Differently
I wouldn't! I love the simplicity and street style vibe of this ensemble.
