Day 4: NYFW Outfit & Show Recaps

The Look

This look was inspired by a trend that I started to see on Instagram believe it or not! I The layering of jackets and blazers like I did with my leather jacket and blazer were appealing to me, so I thought I'd try it out. It was also freezing out, so this was a good way to still make this NYFW outfit visible and leave the coat at home. Layers are truly the secret. I normally stick with a skinny fit when it comes to leather pants, but this boyfriend pant version seemed like a great opportunity to change it up! I wanted to put together a look with an effortless feel after rocking a skirt and OTK boots the day before (haha). The zippers on the pants were a cool detail and made the look more street style, which I'm always a fan of! Shop this look and similar items below!

The Shows

Even though I drove in a blizzard to get to this show, it was worth every second! Verdad's runway show was so light and bright in both materials and colors. The location was perfect and different than the usual Skylight at Clarkson Square. There was a perfect natural light shining in the room with white walls surrounding us rather than a dark black room.

I loved all of the white looks that started the show and believe it or not the two bright yellow looks that came somewhere in the middle! The layering was perfect and it was really cool to see layers of both light and airy materials as well as heavier fabrics. Many of the dresses and top layers of the looks were so whispy and looked etherial and grand as the model walked down the runway.

The flare trousers and extra long sleeves stood out to me because I'm always looking to to include those types of shapes in my own closet. long sleeves look great under jackets when the cuffs are hanging out near the wrists.

Overall, I loved this show and it was definitely one of my favorites of the week! Similar to the Francesca Liberatore the night before, I would love to have a solid half of the collection in my closet. The collection is so wearable for everyday while maintaining that luxury aspect.
