Day 5: NYFW Outfit & Show Recaps
I debated back and forth between wearing dark black skinny jeans with this blazer or these cropped pants. As you can see, I went with the crops. I felt like the skinny jeans were too expected and mixing casual with dressy items is more my style. I love this awkward length pair of jeans because of the raw hem at the ankle and little flare they have below the knee. I paired these with an oversized velvet blazer that I belted to give myself a waist. I let the neckline show by leaving the plunge since I was going to a night show. Simple pumps are always a good choice!
This show feared a lot of pieces that I would love to wear separately. While that is the case with runway show most of the time, I found that a lot of the pieces were quite wearable!
I loved seeing the bright pops of color with each item and because there were so many colors, this is what made the collection cohesive. There were awesome uses of vinyl for pants and cool metallic pieces as well!
Most of the looks had some sort of shape or feminine fit to them. For example, a lot of the sleeveless tops or blazers were fitted at the waist flared out at the hips, which I thought was very pretty. There were plenty of cropped pants that strutted down the runway as well!
I noticed on a few of the pants that rather than having a button closure, there was a zipper. I love this detail and can't wait to try out this style soon! I already have my eye on a few pairs of pants to test the waters.
Overall, I thought this collection was refreshing and bright colors along with the metallics made it memorable. I'm a huge fan of cropped pants so seeing those throughout was a plus!
