Definitely worn to make a statement, over-the-knee boots are a great thing to have for going out in dropping temps. They are great for when you want to wear a skirt or dress, but it's just a little too cold outside for bear legs!
Understandably, not everyone wants to sport a pair of thigh high boots, in which case, I present to you the mid calf or knee-high boot. This is more of a classic style.
They are the perfect sidekick to any cropped skinny jean! The variety is endless from pointed toe to heeled booties. There is an ankle boot for just about an look!
Boots with heels help to elongate the leg. Also, they generally makes legs look slimmer. I mean who doesn't want that?!
There is a new culture with heels. They can be worn in a dressed up setting or used to amp the casual jogger pant. Strappy heels go with any style of jeans and never fail when it's time to throw on a dress!
This type of heel is great to throw in a pop of color or metallic. Make these the focal point of your look! I love a nice lace-up or cage heel especially when paired with an edgier look.
This style of heels has made a move in the last year. Sheer panels create more of an illusion and are a fun change from the normal suede, leather, or patent leather.
The classic pump will be there forever. It will always be the go-to or when in doubt shoe. Though it's fun to try out different types of heels every now an then, pumps will alway have a special place in our hearts!
This is a real TBT for some, but the mule is back! It has been re-vamped with new textures and different styles. The mule is ideal for spring and fall as there are open toe versions as well as heavier materials for cooler weather.
Pairing sneakers with dressier outfits is something we are seeing a lot in street style looks. It helps bring a more formal look to a casual level. I'm a huge fan of a white pair of Adidas, which have also made a comeback!
Slide-ons / Platforms:
Such a go-to item! Slide-ons are a great alternative to lace-up sneakers and any type of boot. I noticed I was getting tired of always wearing boots, so once I started wearing slide-on shoes my rotation became less repetitive.
A more fashion forward slide-on is the platform version. The sole gives you a little elevation and definitely gives you that cool street style edge!
