The comfiest of them all sits pretty high on my list for must have jeans styles. I love the casual vibe it adds to a look no matter how dressed up or down your look is. Aspects that I look for when searching for the perfect pair are do they have "good" tears (i.e. not overwhelming), are they falling right above my ankle (or can I roll them up to do so), do they fall somewhere between high waisted and a comfortable hip height and finally, is the quality high? These are the things that I ask myself when trying on boyfriend jeans and they have always helped me make the right choice!
Lace-up jeans are definitely a trendier denim style, but I am loving the subtle front closures rather than zippers and simple ankle details. This changes up the usual denim look for me! Things Iook for when I'm trying lace-up denim on are that the lace doesn't look like a shoe-lace, that the front closure lace doesn't make the material pull causing the jeans to look too small and that the lace up is sturdy enough to keep the jeans from falling down. Ankle lace-ups are a bit easier in this case, but the front closure such as the white flare bottoms below are worth a good search!
The most common type of denim, but also everyone's go-to (literally). A great cropped skinny jean will always come in handy and is never a bad option when doubting your outfit. It's a classic style that has been revered by denim lovers everywhere is what I'm trying to say here! I think the trick to finding your perfect pair is finding your perfect brand. Which brand fits your body type best? Is it a company that creates slimmer fitting, straighter styles? Or curvier silhouettes that hug you in all the right spots? Once you nail down your brand, it will make shopping for this style and likely every other style you are interested that much easier!
