Faux shearling and sherpa are showing up all over jackets these days. In addition to the added warmth, it is also visually appealing. It's a more rustic and rugged look, but complements a classic suede or denim nicely.

Oversized lapels and taping near the closures of jackets are where we are seeing the the roar of this shearling and sherpa trend. Style influencers have taken to social media with this trend as the temperature has dropped and now it seems as though every company has at least one version of this style!  It's cool, casual and a trend that I hope stays around for a while!

The skinny fashion scarf is in. Danielle of WeWoreWhat is the queen of the skinny scarf as it has become an essential part to many of her looks. The idea of this thin scarf has gained popularity mainly because it acts as a neck accessory just as a necklace would rather than the normal scarf, which is associated with warmth. The skinny scarf is a more contemporary piece that creates a fashion savvy look. In other words, this scarf is just for (very cool) looks, so if you are more of the function over aesthetic type shopper, go for a more practical scarf.

This trend is where we lose some people not only because of the look, but also the near $300 price tag. Regardless, I have to say I'm a fan of the fringe! I love how the selvage is more than distressed. 3x1 worked the fray up a few inches to bring us something different in denim. They look great if they are fitted with a simple pair of heels! Bloggers sported these during NYFW and are rapidly gaining approval from the stylish!

The skinny scarf can also double as an accessory for your accessories! Tie one of these babies around the handle of your handbag to add simple and effortless detail. This also helps you to give your skinny scarf more function and uses rather than just for looks!

Pointed-toe Ankle Boots

The pointed ankle boot makes the perfect accomplice to any skinny jean! They have been spotted in casual chic settings and create an edgier look. Different textures and colors also help to give this shoe style some variety. Croc is usually the texture you'll see other than smooth leather and calf hair (faux obvi). They have been seen to complete everyday work looks for the chicer of everyday citizens!

Outerwear for fall is great because there truly is variety. When it's really cold, you sometimes are forced into wearing your huge heavy winter coat. But, not fall. Fall is for Bomber jackets! No jacket screams street style like a bomber jacket. I have the Ivy revel version to the right and I'm obsessed!

These jackets can range all the way from around $20 to $2,000 (probably more). There is a version out there for everyone in terms of style, color, and fit. They are easy to throw on and perfect for day to day use. This trend gets the green light from me!

Collars are the modern necklace. They are very structural and appeal to both street style and minimalist looks. There are so many different types of collar styles that a person who goes for a grungy look and a person who leans more towards the modern side can both find the right collar for them!

The original collar was stretchy and really cool in the 90's. The fashion cycle has brought it back this season and given you an updated version of it!

You know the sweaters I'm talking about. The ones that aren't quite turtlenecks, but the necks aren't short enough to be regular sweaters either. These sweaters have wedged themselves into many wardrobes this fall. They really are perfect for temperature that are not too cold and not too warm, so basically the season fall! The shorter neck has a modern look to it, which trend savvy people pick up on.

Channeling Ozzy Osbourne with a pair of rounded shades! This style of sunglasses really started picking up steam this past summer, but companies have continued to create new lines and collections using fall colors and lens tones. They are quirky addition to your look. Though not for everyone, most can appreciate that they are visually interesting. Definitely a trend that we will be seeing more of.
